In his middle years with dark hair and a leathery face. Of a medium build, although a bit stocky. When in the wetlands, he sometimes helped Rand learn hand and foot fighting.
Janduin
Allegiance: Iron Mountain Sept, Taardad Clan.
Title(s): Clan Chief of Taardad.
The youngest clan Chief in memory, he was a very good leader, able to talk to people who would always listen. He healed two feuds and almost a third.
He led the Shaarad, Reyn, Nakai and Taardad clans to assasinate Laman for his sin. He fell in love with Shaiel, and got her pregnant in the third year of fighting. When he discovered Shaiel had been lost on Dragonmount, he gave up his place as clan Chief and went north to fight trollocs.
While there he was killed by Isam, looking like Luc. He is the father of Rand .
Lian
Allegiance: Nine Valleys Sept, Taardad Clan.
Title(s): Roofmistress of Cold Rocks Hold.
Slender with yellow hair to below her waist. Her hair is touched with white at the temples and her eyes are grey with a few fine wrinkles at the corners. She is more handsome than Amys, and appears older.
The wife of Rhuarc and sister-wife of Amys. She is very welcoming and warm to those who deserve it. Also, she is the sister-mother (aunt) of Aviendha.
Mangin
Allegiance: Jindo Sept, Taardad Clan.
Title(s): Shae'en M'taal, Stone Dog.
Slightly taller than Rand , he is younger with grey eyes.
A part of the taking of the Stone of Tear, he won a Tairen Hanging in a bet with Gaul. He started helping to teach Rand fighting with hands and feet when in Cairhien and became a kind of friend to Rand, having a sense of humor similar to Mat.
Later in Cairhien city, he killed a man for wearing tatoos of dragons on his arms such as a Clan Chief would wear. He was hanged for murder by Rand. He put the noose around his own neck and made a joke before swinging.
Niella
Allegiance: Bitter Water/Nine Valleys Sept, Taardad Clan.
A weaver, she was taken Gai'shan by Chareen Maidens from Sulara Hold in a raid. She is Aviendha's first sister. In her mid twenties and married.
Rhuarc
Allegiance: Nine Valleys Sept, Taardad Clan.
Title(s): Clan Chief of the Taardad, formerly Aethan Dor.
An older man, broad shouldered and blue eyed with streaks of grey in his red hair. A strong square and handsome face. He has a calm sureness about him, very similar to Lan.
The Clan Chief of the Taardad Aiel, he has two wives: Lian and Amys. He is completely loyal to Rand , resigned to what must be done, more than what he would wish.
