"You see, it is a matter of how much of Ishara's blood one has.
How many lines connect you to her, and in what degree."

Alesinde
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): By the Grace of the light, Queen of Andor, Protector of the Realm, Defender of the people.

The Queen of Andor from FY 1020 to 1035, and daughter of Ishara.

Astara
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): By the Grace of the light, Queen of Andor, Protector of the Realm, Defender of the people.

The Queen of Andor from FY 1073 to 1085 during the War of Hundred Years.

Gawyn Trakand
Allegiance: The Light, Elayne, The Younglings.
Title(s): First Prince of the Sword of Andor, Lord of House Trakand.

A head taller than Elayne, about the same height as Rand. He looks very similar to Elayne with the same self-possession and the same red gold hair, but a bit older. As well as obeying Elayne, he defers to Galad, due to his life being save by him twice.

When he was a toddler and seeing Elayne in the cot, he took the ancient oath of Andoran princes to protect Elayne: "My blood shed before Elayne's, my life given before Elayne's". Garath Bryne later explained to him what the oath means.

When Elayne went to the White Tower to train as an Aes Sedai, Gawyn trained with the Warders, in line with Andoran Tradition. There he met Egwene and fell in love with her, with Egwene recipricating the feelings. During the Tower coup, he took Elaida's side, forming the Younglings out of the Warder's students. He foiled the attempt to free Siuan and Leane, killing Hammar and Coulin in the process, but he then allowed Siuan, Leane and Min to escape the Tower and Tar Valon.

After the coup, he and his Younglings started going on their own, skirmishing with the Whitecloaks around Tar Valon, as much as doing what the Aes Sedai wanted. The Younglings were the guards for Rand's "escort" from Cairhien to the Tower. Gawyn sincerely believes Rand (his half-brother's half-brother) killed his mother, but has promised Egwene he will not raise a hand against him.

Gawyn has wavering support for Elaida, is desparate to find Elayne, wants to kill Rand and loves Egwene who supports Rand and (unbeknownest to Gawyn, but knownest to us) is leading those opposing Elaida. That's a rhubarb of a pickle of a jam.

His mother is Morgase, and his father was Taringail. His younger sister is Elayne and his half brother is Galad, sharing the same father.

His personal sigal is a charging white boar on a field of green.

Ishara Maravaile
Allegiance: Andor.
Title(s): By the Grace of the light, Queen of Andor, Protector of the Realm, Defender of the people.

The daughter of Joal, the last King of Aldeshar and Endara, the Governor of Andor under Hawkwing. With black skin, she was Souran Maravaile's wife before Artur died. After Hawkwing's death, Endara resigned her commission and knealt to Ishara as the first Queen of Andor in FY 994. Ishara then convinced her husband Souran Maravaile to raise the seige of Tar Valon and brought most of his army to Andor to solidify her hold around Caemlyn.

She promised the White Tower her eldest daughter would study in Tar Valon and so was the first ruler to get an Aes Sedai advisor. However none of her sons lived past 23, all dying while defending Andor. So her daughter became Queen, starting a tradition that turned into law - only Queens may sit on the Lion Throne and wear the Rose Crown. She died in FY 1020.

Lini
Allegiance: The Light, Andor, House Trakand.
Title(s): Nurse.
Favorite Saying: Take your pick of the many.

Very neat with gnarled fingers and white hair. She is reed thin, but not fraile.

Nurse to both Elayne and Morgase. Able to get Elayne to do what must be done. Has a plethora of sayings for every situation.

Although not a blood member of the Andoran Royal family, raising the last two queens, she is as close to family as anyone not blood related can become.

Luc Mantear
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): Lord of House Mantear.

Tigraine's brother. He was told to go into the blight by Gitara Moroso, which he did so in 972NE, a year before Tigraine disappeared. His sigal was an acorn.

When he went into the high passes in the blight, he met Isam and somehow merged with him, becoming Slayer.

Modrellein
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): By the Grace of the light, Queen of Andor, Protector of the Realm, Defender of the people.

The Queen of Andor approximately early 300s NE. When Andorans were being routed at the battle of Cuallin Dhen against Tear, Modrellein rode alone and unarmed with the Lion banner into the Tairen army. The Andorans rallied to save her and won the battle.

The epitomy of bravery amongst Andoran Queens.

Morgase Trakand
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): By the Grace of the light, Queen of Andor, Protector of the Realm, Defender of the people, High Seat of House Trakand, Maighdin Dorlain.

A stunningly beautiful woman in the prime of her life. She has a rich, warm voice that has extreme assurance of obediance and a very large presence that dominates rooms.

A practical woman, and to the point, with both feet on the ground and few flights of fancy. She does have a temper though. A very good player of stones and great in Daes Dae'mar.

As a young woman, she studied in the White Tower and later was given a serpent ring as a token of the relationship between Andor and Tar Valon.

When Modrellein died without an heir, she vied for the Rose Crown because her mother soon died of a fever. While Thom helped her manaevor towards the crown, Morgase organised for an Aes Sedai advisor and was crowned queen within a year of the Succession beginning. She soon married Taringail to cement her place on the throne.

She had two children by Taringail: Elayne and Gawyn. After Taringail died, she had Thom as a lover. She never actually found out why Thom had disappeared, and may have forgiven him, except he called her a spoiled child, a puppet of Tar Valon and had physically shaken her. When Thom left half a step ahead of the headsmans axe, she was so furious the city walked quietly for a month. For many years she was in love with Garath Bryne and almost married him.

When Rahvin was freed he took Morgase for a pet, using compulsion to have her at his beck and call. Even with her very strong mind, it took some months and three attempts before she was able to escape.

She went to Amador, eventually becoming captive in the Fortress of Light. She was forced to sign a treaty with the Whitecloaks, but Pedron Niall soon died. After this she was tortured by Rhadam Asunawa and had sex with Eamon Valda to keep herself alive.

When it looked like she would be unable to escape, she relinquished the High Seat of Trakand and the Rose Crown to Elayne. She then went to leap out of a window. Instead Sebban Balwer helped her and her troup escape Amador.

They turned up in Ghealdan being harrased by the Prophets followers becoming Perrin and Faile's servants. She has been taken gai'shain with everyone else by Shaido in Amadicia.

Her personal sigal is three golden keys.

Souran Maravaile
Allegiance: Artur Hawkwing, Ishara.
Title(s): First Prince of the Sword.

A commoner, he became one of Hawkwing's greatest generals. He was a brilliant military strategist, and led the Tower seige in the last years, and for almost a year after Hawkwing's death. His wife Ishara convinced him to raise the siege and brought him and much of his army to Andor where he solidified Ishara's rule around Caemlyn, helping her to become Andor's first Queen

He died in the twenty third year of the War of a Hundred years, killed by four assassins - all four died killing him.

Tigraine Mantear
Allegiance: The Light, Andor.
Title(s): Lady of House Mantear, Daughter-heir of Andor, Shaiel.

Tigraine married Taringail, whom she never loved, to help relations between Andor and Cairhien, and had Galad by him. But she was told by Gitara Moroso to become a Maiden of the Spear or the world would suffer. So she travelled into the waste in 972 NE, causing the Succession. Within a year she had become a maiden, taking on the name of Shaiel, which means "woman who is dedicated."

She was adopted into the Chumai Sept of Taardad Aiel and fell in love with the Taardad clan chief, Janduin. She travelled with the Taardad over the dragonwall to assasinate Laman. In the third year of the Aiel War, she became pregnant to Janduin.

Although she should have been sent home, she was not and had the child on the third day of The Battle of the Shining Walls, the last day of Nesan, 978 NE. This child was Rand. Tigraine died moments after Rand was born.

Her brother was Luc and her mother was Modrellein. Her personal sigal was a woman's hand gripping a thorny rose stem with a white blossom.
