Herid Fel
Allegiance: The Light.
Stout with thin grey hair that is never combed. An Andoran student of history and philosophy, he wrote "Reason and Unreason" among other books. He was in the Cairhienin Library when Rand liberated Cairhien and set up a school and thereafter was either in his study or in the library.
He helped Rand with some difficult questions of prophecy but was torn limb from limb by a (the) Gholam. The reason is not yet known.
Idrien Tarsin
Allegiance: The Light.
Title(s): Headmistress.
Stocky and straight backed with more grey than black. She is the blunt faced Headmistress of the Acadamy in Cairhien, over which she holds a tight rein. During the Shaido siege of Cairhien she built a huge crossbow that threw spears a mile to skewer two men at a time.
Jender Parentakis
At the Acadamy in Cairhien, he is inventing paddle boats.
Kin Tovere
Bald and stocky with a gruff way of speaking. He makes looking glasses of all sizes. He also likes dicing. He joined the Acadamy in Cairhien and is now building telescopes and discovering the solar system with them.
Maryl Harke
A person at the Acadamy in Cairhien making large kites she hangs onto and throws herself off hills. That is, she is doing a da Vinci and inventing the hanglider.

Balding, at the Acadamy in Cairhien. He has invented the "steamwagon."

A female from the Acadamy in Cairhien
Ryn Anhara
A man from the Acadamy in Cairhien, he is "trapping lightning in jars" by way of wires, wheels and metal rods. It sounds like he is creating electricity.
