Aleshin Talvaen
Title(s): Lord of the Crown High Council.
The Lord who led the forces of Ghealdan in the Aiel War Coalition.
He named Rand in the presence of the Prophet, and almost had his head chopped off. After grovelling, he was publicly strapped and thanked Masema for his mercy.
Alliandre Maritha Kigarin
Allegiance: The Light, Ghealdan.
Title(s): Blessed of the Light, Defender of Garen's Wall, Queen of Ghealdan.
Short of her middle years with a long nose and dark hair to her waist. She is good looking - almost pretty - with a stately reserve and grace.
A very wise woman, she made sure the last Queen, Teresia, was out of the picture by making her marry a commoner. She then took the throne and pulled Ghealdan away from civil war by guiding the Prophet as much as was safely possible.
When Perrin turned up in Rand's name, she immediately swore fealty to him and handed him her lands and throne. She has since been taken gai'shain by the Shaido in Amadicia.
Baelome
Title(s): Lady.
A Lady of Ghealdan, she named Rand and almost had her head chopped off by the Prophet. After grovelling, she was publicly strapped and thanked Masema for his mercy.
Banas
A widower from Jarra who married Jorath when Rand passed through the village, even though he said she would never marry again.
Beron Goraed
A rich Ghealdanin merchant. He was dragged from his bed in the small hours by Alliandre's retaners to marry Teresia in the Jenda Palace
Ellizelle
Allegiance: The Light, Ghealdan.
Title(s): Blessed of the Light, Defender of Garen's Wall, The Queen of Ghealdan.
The Queen of Ghealdan, succeeding Johanin. She tried to dispurse Masema's crowds with the army, but the army was routed. She died of poison soon after.
Gerard Arganda
Allegiance: Alliandre, Ghealdan.
Title(s): First Captain.
Short and hard-bitten with fevered eyes. He is a greying commoner who has risen to be First Captain to Queen Alliandre with fat white plumes in his helmet.
Hyran
From Samara, he was to marry Nicola. However he believed his duty was to the Prophet first, until his head was split apart.
Jaril
A boy of about six from Samara, who has seen too much violence. He was scared of everyone except his brother Seve. Marigan picked them up to make her look more real. After some time in Salidar, he laughed and shouted as much as the other boys.
Johanin
Allegiance: The Light, Ghealdan.
Title(s): Blessed of the Light, Defender of Garen's Wall, The King of Ghealdan.
The King of Ghealdan when Masema started preaching. He decided not to do anything about it, and died in a hunting accident.
Jon
The Blacksmith from Jarra. In his middle years. When Rilith asked him to marry her he took off his apron and said yes. They were married immediately.
Jorath
A widow from Jarra who married Banas when Rand passed through the village, even though she said she would never marry again.
Master Harod
Allegiance: The Light.
Title(s): Innkeeper.
The innkeeper of Harilin's Leap in Jarra. A sensible person in a long white apron. He doesn't like Whitecloaks.
Mother Roon
The healing woman in Jarra. She had Noam living with her but he bit her when she tried to heal him.
Nico
A stable boy at Harilin's Leap in Jarra.
Noam
A big man, with golden eyes. He learned to talk with wolves and lost the human part of himself. Now his mind is a chaotic jumble of desires and images - more wolf than anything else. Before being caged in Jarra, he bit the local healing woman, Mother Roon, and killed a cow with his teeth. He was freed from his cage by Perrin and Simion.
Patrim
A stable boy at Harilin's Leap in Jarra.
Rilith
The weaver's daughter from Jarra. She asked Jon the blacksmith to marry her when Rand went through the village. She demanded the arches be put up immediately so she could be married as soon as possible.
Seve
A boy of about seven from Samara, who had seen too much violence. He was scared of everyone except his brother Jaril. Marigan picked them up to make her look more real. After some time in Salidar, he laughed and shouted as much as the other boys.
Simion
Allegiance: The Light.
A chinless helper at Harilin's Leap who looks like a bullfrog. A good man and the brother of Noam.
Telabin
Title(s): Lord of Belthal.
From the town of Bethal, Alliandre was staying in his palace before meeting Perrin.
Teresia
Allegiance: The Light, Ghealdan.
Title(s): Blessed of the Light, Defender of Garen's Wall, The Queen of Ghealdan.
The Queen of Ghealdan, succeeding Ellizelle. She also tried to dispurse Masema's crowds with the army. This time pitting 2 thousand soldiers against 10 thousand followers. They were routed and she abdicated after only ten days to marry Beron Goraed. Marrying a commoner automatically negated her right to the throne.
Alliandre's retainers roused her early in the morning for an on the spot marriage to a man Teresia had never met. Alliandre immediatly taking over as Queen.
