Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan

Amyrlin Seat from 998 NE. Handsome and even beautiful in a severe way and outwardly placid. She has a stern and severe looking face with something terrible in her dark eyes.
A very stern woman, she believes herself intellegent and able to see deeply. She sometimes has the fortelling. The youngest daughter of a minor House from the north of Murandy, but she is also Altaran. She doesn't like rats.
In actuality Elaida is stupid, petty, proud, distant from reality, vindictive and sadistic. Using her talent as a Foreteller, she dedicated her life to a misinterpretation. She was always jealous that Siuan Sanche was chosen Amyrlin over her, and enjoyed torturing her. She has no idea how real people live.
She was Accepted over Siuan and Moiraine, and always remembered their friendship. Her foretelling told her the Andoran Royal line was the key to the Last Battle - this would be Tigraine. She then latched onto the new Queen, Morgase, and continued to be her advisor until Rahvin turned up.
Once she thought she knew what was happening with Rand al'Thor, she pulled down Siuan Sanche, had her stilled and was raised to Amyrlin by coup. She only managed this with the (unbeknownest) help of the Black Ajah - her Keeper of the Chronicles is Alviarin. Approximately one third of all Aes Sedai are with her in the Tower: 294. Not quite as many as in Salidar.
Now as Amyrlin: she is building a palace for the Amyrlin as large as the White Tower, and ten spans higher! It was being built on top of the Warder's practice yard. She doesn't believe the Forsaken are loose! She has tried to leash and control Rand with force! She was assisting the Black Ajah in many of their plans without realising it!
She brought Toveine Gazal out of retirement to lead 51 Aes Sedai and 200 soldiers to attack the Black Tower. Her orders: To Gentle every man found and hang them on the spot. This goes against Tower law. After the screw ups with Rand, and the Black Tower, Alviarin took control of her.
In my humble opinion this is the most ignorant moron in the series, much worse than a Coplin. The only useful thing she has done was to set Seaine Herimon hunting the Black Ajah.
Siuan Sanche

Amyrlin Seat from 985 NE to 998 NE. Medium height, handsome with a strong face and clear blue eyes that gaze hard. Born in Tear to a simple fisherman, she was bundled off to Tar Valon the same day it was found she could channel. She loves fishermen's sayings.
A hard woman, as tough as old boots. She was the youngest Amyrlin in history before Egwene at the age of 30. She is able to get everything she wants out of a person. Able to see patterns where others don't and deciphers puzzles well.
She was friends with Moiraine and Leane as a novice. On the night before being raised to Aes Sedai while the Battle of the Shining Walls raged on Dragonmount, she and Moiraine were attending the then Amyrilin, Tamra Ospenya, and the Keeper of the Chronicals, Gitara Moroso. Gitara proclaimed the birth of the Dragon Reborn and died. Moiraine and Siuan set out to find and guide this child despite Tamra trying to keep them out of the search.
Once Elaida thought she knew what was going on she had Siuan stripped of stole and staff, and stilled along with Leane. With the help of Min and Gawyn they were able to escape Tar Valon, and now Siuan has set herself on a personal vendetta against Elaida and the Red Ajah.
Since arriving in Salidar, Siuan has manipulated and lied her way towards her vengence. She convinced Sheriam's group to raise Egwene, she confirmed Logain's lie about the role of the Red Ajah in his rise, and she is now assisting Egwene to pull down Elaida and sit on the Amyrlin Seat. She has since been Healed of stilling by Nynaeve, but is far weaker than she was.

Amyrlin Seat from 973 NE to 979 NE, and during the Aiel War. She learned the Dragon had been reborn from Gitara Moroso, and sent searchers out to find him. The Black Ajah killed all of them leaving only Moiraine and Siuan, who weren't supposed to be searching. She was tortured and killed by Jarna Malari and Galina Casban and Chesmal Emry, for knowledge of the newly reborn Dragon.

Amyrlin Seat from FY 939 until FY 992. As power hungry and stupid as Elaida. She tried to use Artur Hawkwing for a puppet to control the world, and so nearly destroyed Tar Valon. At one point she refused to receive Takima. The Aes Sedai appointed by Artur, were taking orders from Bonwhin. It was her manipulations, along with Jalwin's influence that caused Artur to sack his Aes Sedai staff, and lay seige to Tar Valon.
She was stripped of staff and stole and stilled and spent the rest of her life as a scullery maid in the White Tower until her death in FY 996. She was brought out as an example to novices. She was the last raised from the Red Ajah until Elaida.

The Soldier Amyrlin. Born 1150AB and Amyrlin Seat from 1251AB. She personally lead the Tower armies in the Trolloc Wars and won many victories. She died at the Battle of Maighande in 1301AB. Her body was found with her five Warders dead, surrounded by mounds of dead trollocs and myrddraal and nine dead Dreadlords.
